Last week, it was the quarterbacks. This week, it's the running backs.
Injuries continue to flummox fantasy football managers as several more key players were sidelined in Week 3. The only remedy is to find the next man up who can fill those empty lineup spots going forward.
One more thing to keep in mind this week: Byes begin in Week 5, so if your fantasy team needs multiple holes filled when the Carolina Panthers and Kansas City Chiefs take their week off, it might be a good idea to be proactive and pick up replacements sooner rather than later.
Fantasy football players to add for Week 4
Due to the wide variance in types of leagues and individual team needs, the players listed here include their availability rates in Yahoo leagues, which may or may not match rates on other platforms.

RB Ollie Gordon II, Miami Dolphins (5% rostered)
Gordon is this week's top waiver prize with starting running back De'Von Achane out for the season. His numbers weren't very impressive on Sunday (20 carries, 41 yards) but he did get into the end zone and appears to be the lead back going forward. With a full week of practice under his belt, Gordon should be ready to meet the moment. (Suggested FAAB bid: $32. More if you had Achane)
WR Kalif Raymond, Chicago Bears (10% rostered)
After three games, Raymond − not Luther Burden, Rome Odunze or Colston Loveland − is the Bears' leading receiver. He caught six of his seven targets for 90 yards and a touchdown on Monday night, including a pretty 41-yard catch-and-run. Backup QB Case Keenum was particularly effective, so look for Raymond to continue to be an important part of the offense, even with Caleb Williams sidelined. (FAAB bid: $12)
RB Braelon Allen, New York Jets (20% rostered)
The Jets may have dodged a bullet with Breece Hall's thigh injury not as bad as originally feared. Still, he's considered week-to-week, which leaves plenty of room open for Allen to step forward. The third-year back out of Wisconsin scored a touchdown in Week 2, and he did get seven total touches in Week 3 (four rushes, three receptions). He'll look to solve the Bears defense that shut down the Eagles rushing attack on Monday night. (FAAB bid: $11)
TE Kenyon Sadiq, New York Jets (19% rostered)
The week's big breakout at tight end, Sadiq showed exactly why the Jets made him the 16th overall pick in this year's draft. He caught seven passes on eight targets for 105 yards and a touchdown on Sunday, making his mark with an athletic stretch on the 24-yard TD reception. Don't forget, he also rushed for a TD in the opener. (FAAB bid: $8)
RB Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints (43% rostered)
Travis Etienne Jr. exited with a hamstring injury in the third quarter against the Raiders, pushing the 31-year-old Kamara back into the spotlight. He rushed for 36 yards on nine carries and caught his only target while splitting the backfield duties with Kendre Miller. Etienne will miss some time but could be back fairly soon, so there's no need to go after Kamara (or Miller) quite as aggressively. (FAAB bid: $7. Miller, $5 backup)
RB Keaton Mitchell, Los Angeles Chargers (32% rostered)
There are no injury issues in the Chargers backfield, but Mitchell's increased usage in Week 3 does make him an interesting speculative pickup. He went from 17 snaps in each of the first two weeks to 23 on Sunday, while nearly equaling the total (27) for starter Omarion Hampton. Mitchell had a season-high 52 rushing yards on eight carries and also scored on a short TD reception. After battling injuries in his first three NFL seasons, he finally looks healthy. (FAAB bid: $7)
WR Keenan Allen, Indianapolis Colts (22% rostered)
With Alec Pierce on injured reserve with a heel injury, the wily veteran Allen stepped forward against the Texans with six catches for 63 yards and a TD. The Colts don't have a deep receiving corps behind WR Josh Downs and TE Tyler Warren, so if the running game isn't clicking, the 34-year-old Allen should continue to see plenty of targets − as long as he stays healthy. (FAAB bid: $6)
WR Konata Mumpfield, Los Angeles Rams (1% rostered)
Star wideout Puca Nacua missed his second consecutive game with a hip injury, allowing Mumpfield to see eight targets on Sunday night in Denver. He caught four of them for 93 yards and a touchdown, setting career highs across the board. As long as Nacua is out, Mumpfield looks like QB Matthew Stafford's No. 2 target behind Davante Adams. (FAAB bid: $5)
WR Pat Bryant, Denver Broncos (8%)
We're getting into speculative territory now. Bryant has always had the talent, but just hasn't been able to break out. Could Sunday be the starting point? He caught two passes for 44 yards and scored his first TD of the season against the Rams. With Marvin Mims still out, Bryant was on the field for a season-high 47 snaps. (FAAB bid: $3)
WR Chris Bell, Miami Dolphins (4% rostered)
Against Kansas City's top-rated defense against wide receivers, Bell was targeted seven times. The rookie caught four of them for 67 yards in his first extensive action. That was partly due to fellow rookie Caleb Douglas being inactive with an ankle injury. Bell is an imposing physical presence who may just need a chance to show he can produce. (FAAB bid: $3)
RB Ty Johnson, Buffalo Bills (0% rostered)
Johnson missed the first two games of the season with a hamstring injury, but was the clear choice as the Bills' third-down back on Sunday. He caught all four of his targets for 50 yards, while playing only 15 snaps. Look for his usage to increase, making him a borderline add in PPR formats. (FAAB bid: $2)
QB Case Keenum, Chicago Bears (1% rostered)
It's only one game, but the 38-year-old Keenum looked pretty good in his first NFL start since 2024. He completed 24-of-34 passes for 247 yards and two scores, while remaining equisitely calm under pressure. Caleb Williams is likely to miss several more games as his hamstring heals, making Keenum an interesting fill-in as the bye weeks start to roll around. (FYI: The Bears' bye isn't until Week 10.) (FAAB bid: $2)
