The Austin City Limits Music Festival kicks off this Friday, Oct. 2, with performances from Charli XCX and The Chainsmokers – and you can watch on Disney+ and Hulu throughout the weekend.
The annual music festival, held at Zilker Park in Austin, runs Friday to Sunday, Oct. 2-4, and the following weekend, Oct. 9-11. In addition to Charli XCX, who performed with Madonna at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 27, other festival performers include Lorde, Bleachers, Geese, Lola Young, Jesse Welles, Turnstile, Twenty One Pilots, Skrillex, The Chainsmokers, The XX and The War on Drugs.
Held since 2002, the festival draws about 75,000 daily. The festival is inspired by the Austin City Limits TV show, which launched in 1974, according to the Texas State
Historical Association. Past festival performers have included Willie Nelson, Paul McCartney, Metallica, Oasis, Robyn and Gary Clark Jr.
