Rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion Jr. sustained a scary injury in the Cleveland Browns' Week 5 meeting with the New York Jets.
Late in the Browns' second possession of the game, Concepcion leapt to catch
a pass from quarterback Deshaun Watson inside the Jets' 10-yard line. Within a second of seemingly catching the throw, Concepcion took a hard hit to the helmet from Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
Concepcion remained on the ground unmoving after the play, and the game's officials flagged Fitzpatrick for a personal foul. CBS cameras showed that the rookie first-round wide receiver appeared to get knocked out by the hit from Fitzpatrick, with his eyes closed as he laid on the field.
The Browns announced that Concepcion was ruled out of the game with a head injury shortly after the wideout exited in Week 5.
Concepcion was Cleveland's second first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft at No. 24 overall. Entering Week 5, he led all Browns pass-catchers with his 28 targets.
