Henry, Charlotte, Charlie and Leo are among some of the trendiest baby names for 2026, new research by smart baby monitor manufacturer Nanit has found.
The company, which describes itself as one of the leading baby monitors in the U.S., said it has "a unique window into what families are actually naming their babies right now," based on the profiles parents create for their babies on its devices.
"We have over 1M parents who love and trust Nanit and hundreds of thousands of babies are added to the Nanit platform each year," Nanit said in a Monday, Sept. 7 news release. "Because families often set up their Nanit around the time their baby is born, we’re able to see what parents are naming their babies in real time."
The company said it undertook
the initiative because "baby names are such a fun reflection of what parents are loving at a particular moment" and that it would be "fun to take a look at the trends within our own community and share what we’re seeing, especially where those choices differ from the broader national baby name lists."
