Celine Dion hasn’t graced a Las Vegas stage since 2019, but she’s still performing on the other side of it.
The Canadian chanteuse, who has always made clear her unfettered love of all music, was spotted rocking out to Metallica’s Sphere concert in Vegas on Nov. 5.
Dion posted a clip of herself fervently playing air bass along with the fretboard dancing of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo inside the mega-venue.
Otherfan-shot videos of Dion finger-plucking and making the universal “bass face” show her in a suite that included Slash and members of No Doubt, themselves Sphere graduates.
Dion, who lives in Las Vegas, recently returned to performing with a sold-out, 16-show run in Paris,
with 10 more shows scheduled for May. She had been sidelined from the stage following a December 2022 announcement she was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes debilitating muscle spasms.
Forever known as the artist who transformed the Las Vegas residency from the place acts visited as a career graveyard to the most sought-after invite, Dion wrapped her monumental 16-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in June 2019.
She was expected to return to the Vegas stage in 2021 with a new residency at Resorts World, but canceled after her diagnosis. Rumors persist that another Vegas residency is in the works, but nothing has been confirmed beyond her pending Paris shows.
