T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach aren't the only ones with wedding fever.
Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig, exes of the former "Good Morning America," hosts, announced their engagement in an interview with People magazine Wednesday, Oct. 21.
"We're very grateful and hopeful," Shue, 59, told the outlet. "I don't know how it happened, but there's a happy ending."
In December 2022, Holmes and Robach were removed from their hosting gigs with "Good Morning America" after the Daily Mail published video and photographs of the two married anchors holding hands and Holmes patting Robach on the bottom. The following month, ABC News confirmed that the controversial news personalities would not be returning to the show.
The couple maintained their respective marriages
were nearly over, but they both decided not to respond to the allegations to avoid escalating the drama.
Shue and Fiebig's engagement announcement comes one month after Holmes and Robach quietly tied the knot on Sept. 19, the county clerk for Washington County, Arkansas, previously confirmed to USA TODAY. The pair's marriage license was officially recorded on Oct. 13.
Shue was married to Robach from 2010 to 2023. The "Melrose Place" alum has three sons from his first marriage to floral designer Jennifer Hageney, while Robach has two daughters from a previous relationship.
Fiebig, an Atlanta-based attorney, married Holmes in 2010. The pair share a child, 13-year-old daughter Sabine.

Reflecting on his former marriage, Shue told People magazine that he "had to accept my own part in marriage not working out for me and in not understanding myself well enough and not understanding what matters in a relationship well enough to find the right person for me, and that has been an extraordinary gift."
"I had to grow through a lot of pain and a lot of struggle and a lot of humility," Shue continued. "I think the magic of love is when you go from a need to giving."
Although Shue and Fiebig's romance raised eyebrows following their exes' dating scandal, experts say the union isn't an uncommon phenomenon, as shared trauma often creates a fertile breeding ground for connection.
"Trauma affects us in both conscious and unconscious ways," Alice Shepard, clinical psychologist and the owner of Mirielle Therapy Practice, previously told USA TODAY. "It is a relief when we find others who can help us make sense of our experiences without fully needing to express them in words. We love our partners because of our shared life experiences. They have seen us at our worst, stayed with us through the most challenging times and are kinder to us in these critical moments than we can even be to ourselves."
Despite the controversy, Shue is embracing his unlikely love story with Fiebig, telling People, "You don't know how you meet the person who's right for you. It just happened.
"You can say how it's just this kind of freak luck that this is how you ended up getting to know that person in a way that would allow you to reveal yourself and for her to reveal herself," Shue said. "And this just happened to be a circumstance that allowed for that. I don't think there was anything other than this just happened to be our way of getting to know each other and being able to share ourselves with each other in a time where we both needed a friend."
