Somebody's finally going to win! Unless we get a tie. That would figure, wouldn't it? Anyhow, Houston's offense showed signs of life in Dallas, with C.J. Stroud throwing for 347 yards and two touchdowns. He still hasn't been intercepted this season. The defense remains a problem, but Tennessee hasn't shown enough consistent offense for me to expect it to fully exploit that weakness. Cam Ward needs a productive running game and manageable passing situations. If the Titans fall behind early, the Texans can make his afternoon much harder. I trust Stroud to generate more sustained offense here, especially after last week's improvement. The Texans finally get off the mat, though I'm still waiting
for their defense to inspire confidence and prove the season isn't already over.

Even as 0-4 teams within the same division, the Texans and Titans still seem to have a good deal of distance between them. Stopping the run is about the only thing Tennessee can hang its hat on, so Houston's inert ground game might not have much room to operate. But C.J. Stroud might earn his rightful spotlight, and Houston's underperforming defense might have its get-right game against Cam Ward and a Titans attack that doesn't seem settled in any facet.
Blake Schuster: Texas 34, Titans 17
As tempting as it is to predict a tie here so both teams remain winless, it sure seems like the Texans have finally run into an offense even their defense can contain. At least, Houston should be able to contain it long enough for Nico Collins and C.J. Stroud to hook up for a few more touchdowns to stretch the lead out of reach.
