Anthony Joshua will fight Kristian Prenga on Saturday in what could produce a valuable test for the former heavyweight champion.
The last time Anthony Joshua fought, he faced a carnival punch machine named Jake Paul. Joshua’s power was off the charts, evidenced by his knocking down Paul four times and breaking his jaw with a sixth-round knockout punch.
But on Saturday, in his tuneup for a fight against Tyson Fury, Joshua may have his own jaw tested.
Prenga, 35, is 20-1 with 20 knockouts. He’ll be a step up in class for Joshua, 36, whose last serious test came against Daniel Dubois in 2024. In that fight, Joshua got knocked down four times and got dropped a final time with a fifth-round knockout punch.
But Joshua remains a decisive favorite over
Prenga, who still is looking for a signature victory.
