Barry Keoghan is pulling back the curtain on undergoing a cosmetic treatment after previously opening up about receiving online abuse over his appearance.
The "Banshees of Inisherin" star, 34, recently received non-invasive skin-tightening treatment, according to Nilam Holmes, a skin and beauty expert and founder of the clinic Dermaspa. Holmes shared a video on Instagram that showed the actor undergoing the Xerf treatment and speaking about it in a voiceover.
"I feel better about myself," he says in the clip. "I look better. And I think it's important to look after yourself, inside and outside."
According to Dermaspa's website, Xerf uses radio frequency technology to deliver "controlled energy into different layers of the skin to support tightening
and collagen renewal," without the use of needles. The clinic recommends the treatment for clients with "mild-to-moderate" skin laxity.

Holmes wrote on Instagram that she has been working with Keoghan "for a while now, looking after his skin through different movies, campaigns and projects," adding that "his skin has really improved over the last few years and he looks great."
The update comes after Keoghan got vulnerable in March about being scrutinized for his looks.
In an interview on SiriusXM, the Oscar nominee said he's been "hiding away" because "there's a lot of abuse of how I look" online, which has made it so he doesn't "even want to be on screen anymore."
"It's kind of past the point of 'everyone goes through that,'" he said. "Everyone does, but it's made me shy away. It's made me really go inside myself, not want to attend places, not want to go outside. … It's becoming a problem."
Keoghan previously quit Instagram in 2024. In a statement shared on X at the time, spoke out against "absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine" online.

Keoghan is coming off roles in the crime thriller "Crime 101" and "Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man," the film based on the TV series. He's set to play Ringo Starr in "The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event," a series of four movies that each follow one member of the iconic rock band.
