tussling with dinos in "The End of Oak Street" and annoying suitors in "The Odyssey" at cinemas, while at home on streaming services, Hathaway plays a beloved fashion journalist in Disney+ and Hulu's "The Devil Wears Prada 2" and a haunted pop star in HBO Max's "Mother Mary." There are quite a few other new streaming films this weekend, including the road-trip nightmare "Passenger" on Paramount+ and the Rose Byrne true-life drama "Tow" on Amazon's Prime Video.

'Camp Rock 3'
In the teen musical threequel, the siblings of Connect 3 (played by the Jonas Brothers) return to Camp Rock in need of an opening act for their reunion tour. A bunch of talented campers compete for the spot, including an ambitious singer (Liamani Segura), her more chill brother (Hudson Stone) and a bad-boy guitarist (Malachi Barton).

'Don't Say Good Luck'
Sunny Sandler stars in the touching dramedy as a teenager who goes out for her high school's production of "Waitress" and nabs the lead, surprising everyone – including herself. When her mom (Melanie Lynskey) reveals her cancer has returned, the youngster becomes increasingly torn between responsibilities at home and onstage.

'Girls Like Girls'
Director Hayley Kiyoko's adaptation of her coming-of-age novel centers on Coley (Maya Da Costa), a new girl in town who meets Sonya (Myra Molloy) and her friends. Coley and Sonya confide in each other and grow closer, emotionally and romantically, though Sonya's insecurities threaten the budding relationship.

'Michael'
The biopic follows the early years of Michael Jackson (Jaafar Jackson) as the pint-sized member of the Jackson 5 grows up to become a solo superstar and escape the clutches of his abusive manager father (Colman Domingo). The musical sequences, including a nifty making-of-"Thriller" scene, make up for the straightforward plot.

'Mother Mary'
In this horror-tinged psychological drama, the title pop star (Anne Hathaway) is on the comeback trail after a near-tragic stage incident. She reaches out to her estranged BFF and costume designer (Michaela Coel) for just the right concert wear, and the two reconnect to exorcise past sins in an intriguing ghost story.

'Normal'
In director Ben Wheatley’s over-the-top action thriller, Bob Odenkirk plays the temporary sheriff in the small Minnesota town of Normal. When he discovers the place’s darkest secret – that it’s the home of riches owned by Japanese Yakuza gangsters – the lawman gets a scrappy group of allies together to combat antagonistic locals.

'Obsession'
In this gory and gonzo take on the "monkey's paw" trope – and one of the best movies this year – Bear (Michael Johnston) is a lovelorn guy who uses a mysterious trinket to wish his coworker Nikki (Inde Navarrette) would love him. She shows him a whole lot of adoration, all right, to a deeply unsettling and unhinged degree.

'Passenger'
Remember this supernatural thriller the next time you feel like hitting the road. Lou Llobell and Jacob Scipio play a couple living the nomadic van life when they come across a nasty car accident. They do the right thing and stop, but it's totally the wrong thing when a demonic spirit attaches itself to them and haunts their travels.

'She Dances'
Steve Zahn stars in the dramedy about a father who chaperones his estranged teen daughter (Audrey Zahn) and her friend (Mackenzie Ziegler) on their road trip to a dance competition. Dad and kid navigate various obstacles and their own family issues in a touching story exploring grief and adulthood.

'Tow'
There are major "Erin Brockovich" vibes with this stirring drama based on a true story. Rose Byrne stars as a Seattle woman living out of her Toyota Camry whose vehicle is stolen and towed. Unable to pay the unfair fine, she embarks on an epic crusade to get it back, with the help of a social worker (Octavia Spencer) and a young lawyer (Dominic Sessa).
