Golden State Valkyries fans gathered at Thrive City on Monday, Oct. 26, to cheer on their team during Game 5 of the WNBA Finals against the Atlanta Dream.
Fans dressed in purple gathered to watch the game, celebrate their team, and share their excitement about the Valkyries' historic run.
"I mean, women's sports, sold-out games and Bay Area basketball culture. I couldn't expect anything less. And it's amazing," fan Denise Martin said.
The Valkyries defeated the Dream 64-55 at Chase Center, taking a 3-2 series lead and moving one win away from their first WNBA championship.
The series heads back to Atlanta for Game 6 on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 12:30 p.m. ET (9:30 a.m. PT). A Valkyries victory would secure the championship in just the franchise's second
season.
