We've got the first big ranked matchup of the college football season and it's coming in Week 2. No. 1 Ohio State will travel to face No. 3 Texas in Austin this weekend.
Ohio State defeated Ball State, 56-3 in the first week. Quarterback Julian Sayin threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns despite playing fewer than three quarters. But, Texas was just as high scoring. The Longhorns defeated the Texas State Bobcats, 59-7. Arch Manning's completion rate was slightly less impressive, but don't be fooled, he still passed for 304 yards and four touchdowns.
These two faced off to start last season, leading to a low-scoring 14-7 win for Ohio State. It would be a statement upset for Texas
early in the season and could rearrange the top of the college football rankings in just the second week of the season. Or, the Buckeyes could walk away with another early-season resume-padding win, and maintain their status as the championship favorites.
