A grand jury has formally indicted Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann's 15-year-old son for alleged sex crimes.
Kroy "KJ" Biermann Jr. was indicted on seven felony charges in a Georgia court Tuesday, Sept. 3, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY. He faces one count of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy and false imprisonment, as well as three counts of aggravated sexual battery against a child under 16.
The charges stem from an alleged incident that occurred in April, during which Biermann is accused of "intentionally" and "unlawfully" engaging in sexual acts with a teen girl without her consent, per the indictment.
Biermann, who filed a motion for his release on Sept. 2, is currently in jail, being held without bond. His next court date is set for Sept. 8.
USA TODAY has reached out to a representative for Biermann for comment.
This comes one month after Biermann, whose family is known for their reality show "Don't Be Tardy" and Zolciak's time on "Real Housewives of Atlanta," was arrested without bond on Aug. 17.
Biermann's attorney Jason Sheffield previously denied all allegations in a statement to USA TODAY and said he "will work tirelessly" to prove "the mean spirited nature of these false allegations and to bring a close to this matter as quickly as possible."

The official complaint obtained by USA TODAY, stated Biermann and the alleged victim, who knew each other through his girlfriend at the time, ran into each other at a local Life Time gym on the afternoon of April 23. The girl said Biermann asked if she wanted to go into the co-ed sauna together, which is accessible through the family locker room, and she agreed.
It was inside the locker room that the girl said Biermann physically restricted her from leaving, leading to his false imprisonment charge. He also allegedly forced his genitals into her mouth against her will, for which he was charged with aggravated sodomy, and allegedly committed other sexual offenses before she said she was able to escape.
The girl alleged Biermann first "grabbed her by the waist and started kissing her neck and grabbing her butt." He then allegedly began touching her genitals from over her clothes "so hard that it hurt."
The alleged victim told police she said no "multiple times," but Biermann allegedly replied "something to the effect that she was lucky he wasn't making her do it" and proceeded to pull down his pants and orally sodomize her, according to the report. The girl said Biermann also digitally penetrated her and "tried multiple times to have sexual intercourse."
The next day, the girl confessed the alleged incident to her grandmother after skipping school and having a panic attack. She went to the hospital, where she had a sexual assault examination done and spoke with officers.
She said she and Biermann had consensually kissed once before, but she did not consent to any sexual interactions the day prior. The sexual assault kit returned no evidence of male DNA in the victim's mouth or genitals, the report said.
Upon investigation, police learned that while Biermann had not scanned into the gym that day, he was there. Surveillance footage showed him and the alleged victim entering the family locker room, where they stayed for approximately 30 minutes before he headed toward the sauna alone and the girl exited toward the lobby shortly after.
On May 18, an officer spoke with Kroy Biermann Sr., who said he and Zolciak would discuss letting their son talk to authorities, per the report. On June 24, Sheffield called the officer to inform that he would be representing Biermann in the case.
In an Aug. 21 statement to USA TODAY, Sheffield said Biermann is innocent: "First and foremost, this is not the kind of information that should be for public dissemination. These are juveniles. Secondly, my client is 100% innocent and tried to present evidence to the arresting officer," which allegedly included a voluntary polygraph test and evidence of "prior false allegations by the alleged victim."Sheffield further noted the negative results of the sexual assault kit and said he feels "certain" Biermann would not have been arrested if the officer sat down with Sheffield to talk.
"Sadly, these false allegations are a desperate cry for attention and are motivated by my client's past rejection of the alleged victim's unwanted advances," Sheffield continued, calling Biermann's arrest a "tragedy" and reiterating that he "is not only presumed innocent, but is in fact, innocent."
