Will Arnett is enjoying his new romance while taking the future one day at a time.
The actor, 56, shared an update on his relationship during the Sept. 28 episode of "SmartLess," the podcast he cohosts with Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes. The episode featured guest Seth Meyers.
"It's going really well," the "Arrested Development" actor said of his romance with 28-year-old Emma Marciano, heir to the Guess clothing brand (and daughter of Guess cofounder Maurice Marciano). "I'm very happy, very, very happy. Things are going great."
The conversation began when Bateman asked about Arnett's dating and home life, noting that he and Hayes regularly discuss their personal lives on the show.
"In
a perfect world, in five years, what does this relationship look like?" Bateman asked Arnett.
"If I [expletive] knew....at 56, [what] I have learned... in the last two years especially – to let go of whatever ideas of whatever I think [is] gonna happen," Arnett responded. "As you know, you get dealt so many [expletive] curveballs. I'm in a place now where I'm really trying my best to just deal with what's in front of me."
The "BoJack Horseman" star also described working on and surrounding himself "with great people," with the goal of responding to whatever comes next better than he has in the past.
Who is Emma Marciano?
Arnett's new girlfriend is a cofounder of Los Angeles fashion label Mimchik, which she launched with friend Mia Kazovsky in October 2022. Their designs include womenswear, menswear and unisex pieces, and have been worn by celebrities including Sydney Sweeney and Emily Ratajkowski, according to a 2024 interview with Paper.
The couple has kept their relationship private, with the podcast being the first time Arnett has publicly spoken about his budding romance.
Will Arnett's past relationships, children
Arnett was previously married to comedian Amy Poehler from 2003 to 2016. The parents of two sons – Archie, 17, and Abel, 16 – had been separated for 18 months prior to filing for divorce and filed to seek joint custody.
The actor also shares a 6-year-old son, Alexander, with former partner Alessandra Brawn, whom he split from in 2024.
