A free sweater-shaped koozie from Dunkin' has the internet going crazy.
On Sept. 22, Dunkin' and L.L. Bean released a limited-edition Birdseye Sweater Cup Sleeve, free with any hot or iced coffee purchase at participating locations. Inspired by L.L. Bean's signature Birdseye Sweater, the koozie in Dunkin's iconic orange and pink sports the L.L. Bean logo.
Countless Dunkin' loyalists arrived at their local coffee shops early on Sept. 22 to increase their chances of snagging a koozie.
"It's still freaking dark outside. I'm still in my nightgown, but we're at Dunkin'," TikTok creator Mishy Kon said in a video showing off the koozie.
"It is literally 6:15 a.m., but I have to get my hands on the little L.L. Bean sweater from Dunkin', so let's see how
many Dunkin's I have to go to to get one," TikTok creator Aury Ortiz- Rivera said in a video. By the fourth Dunkin', she struck gold.
Is the Birdseye Sweater Cup Sleeve still available?
The Dunkin' LL. Bean Birdseye Sweater Cup Sleeve was released Sept. 22 as a limited-edition product. Many eager fans took to social media the same day to share their disappointment that their local Dunkin' had already sold out of the koozie.
USA TODAY contacted Dunkin' on Sept. 23 for more information about the koozies' availability, but has not received a response.
Dunkin' sweater koozie winds up on resale market
Not even 24 hours after their release, the koozies have made their way to third-party resale sites like eBay, where they were listed for anywhere between $25 and $100 as of Sept. 23.
Missed the koozie? More Dunkin', L.L. Bean merchandise is coming soon
On National Coffee Day (Sept. 29), the two brands are releasing a Birdseye Sweater that matches the koozie and a limited-edition L.L. Bean coffee tote bag. The bright pink and orange sweater will be available for $80 on the L.L. Bean website, and the tote bag will be available on the Dunkin' merchandise website and at participating Dunkin' locations in Maine.

In addition to the L.L. Bean swag, Dunkin' is offering customers a free medium hot or iced coffee on Thursday, Sept. 29, with any purchase through the Dunkin' app, according to a news release.
