Caitlin Clark is adding "children's book author" to her ever-growing list of accolades. The WNBA superstar's debut picture book is out now.
Clark's debut picture book, "EXTRAordinary! A Little EXTRA to Reach BIG Dreams" was announced by Penguin Random House back in May with a release date on Nov. 3, 2026. The rhyming book shares a personal message about the foundation of Clark's success on and off the basketball court. Illustrated by Adriana Predoi, EXTRAordinary is a heartwarming reminder to cherish the ones we love.
It's been a busy year for the WNBA star who expanded her signature clothing line and launched her first-ever signature shoe, on top of playing her second WNBA season and winning a gold medal with the FIBA Women's Basketball team.

According to the Des Moines Register, the 32-page book shares an inspiring story in rhythmic verse from Clark about living every day with purpose and meaning. The inspiration for the book comes from a mirror that hung in the former Hawkeye icon's childhood bedroom, with the quote "The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the little extra."
“Basketball has given me so many incredible opportunities, but what has always meant the most to me are the people who’ve supported me along the way,” Clark said in a statement. “I hope this book reminds kids that they’re never alone in chasing their dreams and that giving a little extra to the people and moments is what makes them EXTRAordinary.”
