This Monday night showdown has all the makings of an instant classic.
The Los Angeles Rams (2-2) and Buffalo Bills (3-1) collide in Week 5, with two of the NFL’s most explosive offenses, two superstar quarterbacks and championship aspirations. If their last meeting is any indication, you'll want to take care of your bathroom breaks before kickoff.
This matchup pits the last two NFL MVPs against each other, with reigning 2025 MVP Matthew Stafford leading the Rams against 2024 MVP Josh Allen and the Bills. Both quarterbacks have the arm talent, playmaking ability and experience to turn any possession into a scoring drive, setting the stage for a potential shootout under the Monday night lights.
These teams last met in December 2024, delivering an
unforgettable 44-42 Rams victory in a game that was as wild as the score suggests. Allen threw for three touchdowns and rushed for three more, becoming the first player in NFL history to record three passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns in a single game. Even that historic performance wasn't enough to get Buffalo the win.
Now, they are eyeing a statement win as both look to stake their claim as top contenders. Entering Week 5, they are viewed as the leaders in their respective conferences and the likely Super Bowl representatives.
Los Angeles will still be without Myles Garrettfor a fourth straight game tonight, but Puka Nacua returns for his second consecutive week, giving Stafford his most dangerous weapon. With Allen and Stafford capable of lighting up the scoreboard in a hurry, this one could be a roller coaster from the opening kickoff to the final whistle.
