No one ever wants to make a trip to the hospital for any reason, but for Texans, it's worth noting that several major hospitals have ranked among the best in the nation.

U.S. News & World Reportreleased its latest rankings on Tuesday, Aug. 4, of the best hospitals in the country, including specialty rankings in cancer and neurology, with several Texas hospitals among them.

Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas was named to U.S. News' Honor Roll, which recognizes the top 20 hospitals nationally. It is nationally ranked in 10 adult specialties and rated high performing in 21 adult procedures and conditions, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Here's a look at how other hospitals across Texas fared and how they ranked across various specialties.
