Week 7 of the 2026 high school football season brought a brand new No. 1 to the USA TODAY Sports Super 25 high school football rankings.

St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD) jumped from No. 3 to No. 1 to bounce St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) from the No. 1 spot it held for several weeks.

However, in the USA TODAY Sports high school football composite rankings, the Raiders maintained their No. 1 ranking following a comeback win over The St. James Performance Academy (Springfield, VA).

USA TODAY Sports has developed its composite rankings using five different national polls (USA TODAY, MaxPreps, SC Next, HSFB America and Massey). Each is weighted differently to add credibility to the rankings.
