NFL trade deadline live updates: Latest news, rumors after Week 8

The NFL trade deadline is closing in, and more deals might materialize well before the Nov. 10 cutoff.

Last week saw a significant acceleration of action on the player movement front, with multiple contenders making bold moves to reshape their short-term outlook. The Seattle Seahawks patched up one of their key vulnerabilities by adding eight-time Pro Bowl offensive guard Quenton Nelson from the Indianapolis Colts, who later the same day shipped off defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers. But perhaps the biggest in-season stunner came in the form of the Chicago Bears' acquisition of All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, who netted the Tennessee Titans two first-round draft picks in return.

With eight days remaining until

the deadline, however, plenty more swaps remain possible, as a cluster of big names - most notably Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor – could be on the block if the right offer materializes.
