Sydney Sweeney has officially declared it low-rise season. The actress is bringing the Y2K-inspired denim trend back with American Eagle's latest campaign, showing that dropped waists are ready for a comeback.
Sweeney, 28, stars in the brand's newest denim launch, featuring the dropped-waist jeans in a variety of styles from ultra-wide-leg and relaxed baggy styles to classic boot-cut cuts.
In an Instagram post, the "Euphoria" star kept the styling effortless: pairing the jeans with everyday essentials like fitted tees, simple tanks, denim shirts and a cropped jean jacket for a laid-back look that's both nostalgic and modern.
"it’s low rise season 💙," Sweeney wrote in the caption, alongside photos of herself wearing the new denim.

The collection
follows Sweeney's previous collaboration with American Eagle, including the "Syd for Short: American Eagle Jean Shorts" campaign for summer 2026. This comes nearly a year after her July 2025 American Eagle debut sparked controversy.
Now, Sweeney is once again putting her spin on a defining denim trend. Here's what to know about how to shop Sweeney's latest AE drop.
