What I like about the CMC training shoes
Before getting into the specifications of the shoe, the design and appearance of the CMC trainer is simply fantastic. There are four different color options, giving you a say in what your preferred style is. I tried out the dune color, which is predominantly light tan, giving you a look that's great for working out or completing your fit.
For reference, I'm a runner who typically churns out around 20 miles a month, so I'm not used to wearing strictly training shoes. At first, I was a bit leery on the fit, however, once I got accustomed to the shoe, it was very comfortable to workout and walk in.
Meant to provide stability, the shoe keeps your feet locked in with every movement so you can stay focused on the task at hand, which was a major plus. If you've ever seen someone's foot look like it's attempting to escape at the gym, this will do the opposite.
Where I think the shoe shines is its focus on the heel area of the shoe. An angled heel tab helps with alleviating pressure on your Achilles, which isn't something you find in most shoes. Underneath the heel tab is the heel counter, which hugs your foot and keeps it secure to allow for a more explosive push with every step.
