Hormiga Gonzalez is off and running.
The Mexico forward scored his first goal in the Europa League on Wednesday, Sept. 16, popping up at the back post after a corner kick and finishing a rebound from close range to bring Olympiacos back level with Jagiellonia Białystok.
It is the first goal the 23-year-old has scored in European competition, though he already has scored three goals in the Greek cup after joining the club from Chivas last month.

Gonzalez was top scorer in the 2025 Apertura and is likely to be a key player for Rafa Marquez as the new Mexico manager puts together his squad with eyes on making a deep run at the 2030 World Cup. He
made the 2026 World Cup squad, playing 14 minutes in Mexico's tournament-opening victory over South Africa as he entered for veteran forward Raul Jimenez.
He appears to also have won the confidence of his club manager, Imanol Alguacil, starting all league matches and the Europa League debut.
