The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is making waves in Philadelphia this morning after posting a series of messages on X using Eagles Hall of Famer Brian Dawkins.
The posts appeared to be in response to a report of a "Huge migrant caravan headed towards the US southern border" from Leading Report.
"Our time has come," the DHS posted alongside a 39 second video montage of Dawkins. The department also posted another black and white photo of the safety with the text "The Border is Closed" overtop.
The posts quickly raised responses from commentors.
"Eagles fans [f-ing] HATE you," one user wrote.
"Don't ever use my HOF Safety for this [s-t] again," said another.
As of Monday afternoon,
it didn't appear that Dawkins or the Eagles had posted any response to the DHS.
Who is Brian Dawkins?
Dawkins is known by Philly sports fans as a legendary safety, inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018.
Nicknamed "Weapon X," Dawkins played for the Eagles from 1996-2008.
