"Big Brother" winner Rick Devens' wife revealed she has been diagnosed with breast cancer weeks after he won the CBS competition show.
"So Rick won Big Brother. And then we came home and I got diagnosed with breast cancer," Becca Devens said alongside her husband in a video posted to Instagram Oct. 25.
The nurse said her diagnosis was detected early after she underwent a mammogram.
"I'm gonna get a double mastectomy and that'll be fun, but because we got it early we think that's all we have to do," she said.
Rick and Becca Devens asked fans to send the family well wishes for her recovery. They also said their kids, 12-year-old Jackson and 9-year-old Juliet, are doing well despite the diagnosis.
"Everybody's okay, but we just wanted to let you know,"

The news of Becca Devens' cancer diagnosis comes weeks after her husband, Rick Devens, won "Big Brother" Season 28.
Rick Devens was declared the winner of the reality competition show on Oct. 1 in a 6-1 vote over Taylor Brown. After 87 days in the "Big Brother" house, Rick Devens became the first former "Survivor" player to secure the $750,000 grand prize.
The former news anchor was also voted "America's Favorite Player," which came with another $50,000. In total, combined with all his winnings throughout the season, Rick Devens left the game $810,000 richer.
As a former "Survivor" competitor, Rick Devens entered "Big Brother" as a so-called reality TV icon alongside past "Survivor" winner Dee Valladares and previous "Big Brother" houseguest Angela Murray.
Throughout the season, Becca Devens became popular with fans as she reacted to the gameplay on social media. She and her two kids were also in the live studio audience on finale night.

Rick Devens thanked fans for their support while several "Big Brother" and "Survivor" stars sent well wishes to the family after news of Becca Devens' cancer diagnosis.
"Thank you all for the love! Becca's got this," Rick Devens wrote under the post. "Luckily she's the tough one. Also, the funny, charming, smart, good looking one."
"Survivor" 50 winner Aubry Bracco commented, "Love you guys so much. You're gonna Devens style handle this."
Several "Big Brother" Season 28 castmates also reacted to the news.
"God blessed Rick recently and he’s about to bless you with a quick recovery. We love you Becca," Valladares commented.
Murray said: "Becca, you are such an amazing woman, strong with a beautiful heart. We are all wrapping our arms around you with love. Prayers for a speedy recovery and healing."
Brown wrote, "Sending love and prayers Ms. Becca," while Drew Campbell commented, "Sending you love mom!!"
