Week 7 of the 2026 college football season features arguably the most loaded slate to date, with seven games between teams currently ranked in the top 25 of the US LBM Coaches Poll.
The week before it isn't too shabby, either.

Week 6 includes a handful of high-profile matchups with notable conference title and College Football Playoff implications.
No single game stands out more than a meeting between arguably the two best teams in the SEC so far this season, No. 2 Georgia and No. 7 Alabama, at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart is just 2-7 against the Crimson Tide, though in the most recent matchup, Georgia pounded Alabama, 28-7, in the SEC championship
game in Atlanta in 2025.
It's not the only highly anticipated matchup in the SEC that day. In Dallas, No. 1 Texas will square off against Oklahoma in the latest edition of one of college football's great rivalries, the Red River Showdown, at the Cotton Bowl. Despite the apparent contrast in quality between the teams through five games, the Longhorns are only a touchdown favorite against the Sooners in a game that's seldom predictable.
Elsewhere, No. 5 Indiana will travel to undefeated Nebraska as the Hoosiers continue their push for a second-consecutive national championship, No. 22 UCLA will look to continue its promising start under first-year head coach Bob Chesney when it travels to No. 13 Oregon and another surprising team under an exciting new coach, No. 25 Kentucky and coach Will Stein, will host Lane Kiffin and No. 10 LSU.
