The U.S. men's national team and Mexico will renew their fierce rivalry on Saturday, Oct. 3 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
The match will see the two nations meet for the first time since the 2025 Gold Cup final, which Mexico won 2-1.
It will also be the first time the U.S. and Mexico have faced off since serving as co-hosts of the 2026 World Cup along with Canada. Both teams were eliminated by European powers in the round of 16 on home soil, with the U.S. falling to Belgium and Mexico losing to England.
The North American rivals have begun new eras in the aftermath of the World Cup. With Mauricio Pochettino still in charge, the USMNT has brought in a host of newcomers and started the current window out with wins over Peru and Chile.

Mexico is under new management, with Rafa Marquez taking over from Javier Aguirre after the World Cup. Marquez is still looking for his first win after El Tri drew both Colombia and Chile.
Saturday's meeting outside of Phoenix will be the 80th all-time match between the teams. Mexico leads the series with 38 wins, while the U.S. has 24 victories. The other 17 games have ended in draws.
The U.S. had a seven-game unbeaten streak (five wins, two draws) heading into Pochettino's first match against Mexico in October 2024. But Mexico won that match and the Gold Cup final, starting a two-game winning run of its own.

Demand is likely to be high for the match at State Farm Stadium, home of the NFL's Arizona Cardinals.
As of the afternoon on Wednesday, Sept. 30, the get-in price was hovering around $200 at the 63,400-seat venue.
