Christina Applegate is sending her love to fans after months in the hospital.
The "Dead to Me" star, 54, took to Instagram on Sept. 21 to post a brief video clip, where she poses with her hands in her pockets and smiles. In the caption, Applegate joked she had a "fresh hair color" and "new weird spot on my cheek," and she thanked hairstylist David Stanwell for "brightening up my cloudy day."
"Love you and love to you all out there," she wrote.
The update comes after Applegate was admitted to the hospital in late March amid her battle with multiple sclerosis. On Sept. 14, the star confirmed she was back home: She shared a look at a "you're home" sign that her daughter made for her. "Meant to post this a while ago," she captioned the picture.

representative, Ame Vanlden, declined to comment on her medical status when she was initially hospitalized in March but noted the actress has "had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast."
On April 20, Applegate shared an update on Instagram as she thanked fans for their "outpouring of love and well wishes." She wrote, "Health issues are a constant for me, but I'm a strong chick and I'm getting stronger and better every day. I'm taking a moment to focus on my health, but I'll be back with more to say soon enough."
Applegate shared another brief update in May with listeners of her podcast "MeSsy," on which she discusses her health with cohost Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who also has multiple sclerosis. In an audio message, Applegate said she was doing "good" and "thinking about all of you."
Applegate was first diagnosed with MS in 2021. In a 2025 episode of her podcast, she said she has constantly been in and out of the hospital in the time since.
"For three years, since I was diagnosed, I've been in the hospital upwards of 30 times," Applegate said. "That is unimaginable, OK? They've done every test known to man on me, put so much radiation into my body from CT scans to everything else."
One of her hospital trips came in August 2025, when she was admitted for a kidney infection. In a podcast episode recored from the hospital, she said she was "holding in [a] bag o' tears right now" and shared that "I sometimes fall into the nurse's arms like a freako, just crying." Applegate later confirmed in a statement to USA TODAY that she had returned home after a week in the hospital.
Applegate's latest post on Sept. 21 received support from a number of her famous friends. "Beautiful!" wrote Kyle Richards, and Henry Winkler commented, "You are truly powerful."
