Northwestern safety Jon Jon Stevens sustained a scary injury in the second half against Oregon on Saturday, Oct. 31.
The sophomore appeared to have sustained an injury at the end of a tackle when he lowered his head, resulting in him being down on the ground for a brief moment, being tended to by members of the Wildcats' staff, before a stretcher was brought out onto the field.
He was carted off and taken through the tunnel at Autzen Stadium for further evaluation.
Northwestern is currently leading Oregon in the third quarter in Eugene,
where a win would give the Wildcats their seventh win of the season and extend their win streak to five consecutive games, which has not happened since 2020.

Jon Jon Stevens injury update
Stevens sustained an apparent head injury in the third quarter against Oregon on Saturday.
He lowered his head at the end of the tackle attempt on Oregon's Brandon Smith on second-and-10. Stevens missed Smith on the attempt, and instead appeared to have hit his head hard on the ground, which prompted Northwestern's medical staff to rush out onto the field.
Stevens was seen lying down on the ground while being evaluated. There was a stretcher board brought out but unused, as Stevens was brought up onto his feet and placed into the cart by Northwestern's medical staff. He was then carted off the field.
