Sandra Bullock can barely remember winning her first Oscar, and with good reason.
The "Practical Magic" star, 62, revealed that she was secretly caring for her newborn son, Louis, while attending the 2010 Academy Awards, where she won Best Actress for her portrayal of real-life football mom Leigh Anne Tuohy in "The Blind Side."
When asked by "Live with Kelly and Mark" host Mark Consuelos what she remembers most about that night, Bullock said, "Nothing."
Kelly Ripa quipped: "Nobody does."
"Well, I had maybe two hours of sleep? I was hiding a newborn," Bullock said during the Sept. 10 appearance on the TV talk show. "No one knew I had Lou, and he had acid reflux, so he slept only every two hours. So I don’t remember much of the night."

her sons' arrival and adoption private until April 2010, the same month she announced her divorce from businessman and television personality Jesse James.
Bullock continued: "But I do know that I wanted to get home because I wanted to do the feeding, because I knew who was there with him was probably struggling."
When she was finally able to get home, Bullock recalled sitting with her son in her Oscar dress.
"I was there in the dress, and I couldn’t get out of the dress, so I just sat in the dress with Lou," Bullock said. "[The] Oscar was on the floor and Lou was on my lap."
"It was the best way to have that night because it was so overwhelming in general. I think it would have been more overwhelming had I not been so tired. And I just wanted to go home," she added.

While the significance of the moment wasn't lost on the "Gravity" actor, her primary goal was to get back to her son as quickly as possible, especially since she couldn't immediately leave the ceremony.
"I couldn’t leave the Oscars early. We went to the afterparty, and then we had to wait to get the little name put on there," Bullock said. "And I was like, 'Can we just hurry up the name?' And then we said 'Hi,' and then I took off."
She added: "And they all thought, 'Oh, she’s tired. She’s tired.' And I was tired. But I just wanted to get home to a little person that no one knew about."
Bullock welcomed her daughter Laila, 13, via adoption in 2015, five years after she became a mom to Louis, who is now 16 years old. Bullock and her longtime partner Bryan Randall raised the children together until his death in 2023.
