Kehlani has called off multiple concerts due to an undisclosed illness.
The "Folded" singer, 31, revealed she was hospitalized and had to cancel her upcoming shows in Camden, New Jersey, and Washington D.C., in a since-deleted Instagram post Wednesday, Aug. 26.
"After two off days feeling completely normal, I've been up all night unable to swallow & in so much pain," Kehlani wrote. "I just left the hospital & am not cleared to sing for the next two shows. I'm so sorry."
"Camden & DC. My team is working on a solution. Breaks my heart to have to ever do this," she added. "I do everything I'm supposed to ensure my health stays up to par & it still isn't guaranteed."
The next day, the R&B artist shared rescheduled dates for the two cities in early September with the caption, "see you then ☺️🙏🏼."
Her next stop on the North American leg of her world tour is set for Saturday, Aug. 29, in Virginia, which she said will go on as planned in her Wednesday post.
Kehlani recently revealed she had surgery
Earlier this month, the Grammy winner opened up about her health in her Billboardcover story, revealing she recently had sinus surgery "because I haven't been able to breathe for seven years." She said that is when she learned her "nasal canals were blocked."
"I’m still healing. But this will be my first tour using my breath to my full capacity," Kehlani said. "I’m really excited to be able to breathe because I’ve been onstage huffing and huffing. But other than that, it’s really again about being disciplined with my routine. You know when your voice is going. I know when I need to calm it down, when it’s time to go to bed early."
Kehlani also said she is "clinically diagnosed as bipolar," and prioritizing a healthy routine helps her maintain balance amid her busy schedule.
“I take medicine. I have to go to the gym; it’s not an option," she told the outlet. "I have to do yoga, take walks. I have to spend time in nature: sit in the park or go wiggle my toes in somebody’s grass. I have to build a relationship with God. I have to pray.”
She added: “You get in this cycle where you wake up at 6 p.m. because you were at the studio until 7 a.m. You’ve missed a whole day of sunshine. There’s no meal. You go back to the studio at 8 p.m. You grind or die. I have to have a routine supporting my wellness so I can freaking survive.”
