The Pittsburgh Steelers’beleaguered secondary might be navigating another absence in NFL Week 4.

Coach Mike McCarthy said at his weekly news conference conference Sept. 28 that cornerback/safety Jalen Ramsey is dealing with a wrist injury.

He added that it’s too early to tell whether Ramsey will be available for the team’s "Thursday Night Football" matchup with the Browns at Huntington Bank Field on Oct. 1.

Ramsey had eight tackles, including one for a loss, in the Week 3 victory against the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 27. As a team, the Steelers secondary yielded 282 passing yards and three touchdowns to Bengals QB Joe Burrow.

The 31-year-old

former All-Pro is in his second season with Pittsburgh after being acquired in a trade with the Miami Dolphins last summer.

Pittsburgh has been missing top cornerback Joey Porter Jr. since training camp because of a back injury, although the fourth-year veteran has also been at odds with the team over an extension of his rookie contract.
