Sarah Jessica Parker brought a familiar face to Broadway: her lookalike son, James Wilkie Broderick.
The "Sex and the City" star and husband Matthew Broderick joined their 23-year-old son for the Oct. 18 opening of "Other Desert Cities" at the Hudson Theatre in New York City.
With his wavy brown hair framing his face, James Wilkie Broderick bore a striking resemblance to his mother as they posed together. He wore a navy suit with a light blue shirt and checked tie.
Parker, 61, paired a black floral dress with a cardigan and heels, while Matthew Broderick, 64, wore a charcoal suit and striped tie. James Wilkie Broderick also held his mother's hand.
James Wilkie Broderick is the couple's eldest child. They also share 17-year-old twin daughters Loretta
and Tabitha.

James Wilkie Broderick is building an acting career
James Wilkie Broderick is following in his famous parents' footsteps, pursuing an acting career that has already included an on-screen appearance alongside his father.
The pair appeared in the Feb. 20, 2025, episode of CBS' "Elsbeth," titled "Foiled Again". James Wilkie Broderick played Carl, while his father portrayed educational consultant Lawrence Grey. CBS described the episode as their first time acting together on screen.
James Wilkie Broderick also stars alongside "The White Lotus" actor Sam Nivola in the upcoming film "Days Ending in Y," directed by Theo Quantick, according to People.
"We're pals. I've known him since I was really little, and he is an incredible guy and an incredible actor," Nivola told the outlet.
Sarah Jessica Parker's advice for younger generations
Parker offered her own thoughts on finding a path forward in a January 2026 interview with USA TODAY.
"Work hard," she said. "Like, really, work hard."

The actress encouraged young people to learn from others and develop the skills to navigate challenges in their professional and personal lives.
"You just cannot be the expert if you're not really constantly watching and listening," she says. "Any time I've had any success, it's because I spent a lot of years listening, getting paid very little, working very hard, offering to do anything."
