Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce (heel) left the Week 2 game against the Kansas City Chiefs in the first half due to a left heel injury, and he has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Pierce went to the blue medical tent for approximately 10 minutes, according to the NBC telecast, before he was carted off to the locker room for further evaluation before being ruled out. Pierce ended up with a single 11-yard reception on his only target before departing.

Why it Matters: Pierce, who received a four-year, $114 million contract, has managed five catches and 72 yards on seven targets across his first six quarters this season. It's uncertain when he'll be able to return, but Josh Downs
