RJ Mitte’s sister, Lacianne Carriere, says there aren't enough words for how she feels following his death.
The "Breaking Bad" star died by suicide on Oct. 12, at 34, leaving a void in the hearts of his loved ones. Carriere, 22, shared a devastating tribute to her older brother on Instagram on Friday, Oct. 23, along with a carousel of photos capturing various memories of the late actor.
"There are just no words. You were just here," she wrote in the post's caption. "Your strawberry Fanta was still sitting on my coffee table when I got the call. Life hasn’t felt real since then. Rj you were my everything. I just lost my other half. I lost my brother but I also lost my father."
Lacianne Carriere says brother RJ Mitte's death was like losing her father
Carriere added that her brother, a known disability rights advocate,
influenced "every single aspect of my personality," Carriere wrote, from her taste in music, film and video games. She explained that Mitte inspired her to become a collector, saying he taught her that "even the smallest piece of paper can be a precious memory later on."
"Since the phone call, I’ve been sitting around with your closest people almost every night, sharing the craziest stories that could never be said anywhere else, and God, that was just you," she wrote. "You were the life of the party, coolest guy that we all tried to keep up with but never could."
Simply put, Carriere wrote, "You made me, me."

"We had so much more to do, so many more memories to be shared and I don’t know if my heart can ever be whole again after losing the biggest piece of it," she added. "I just really need my brother right now. … You would put on some lofi music and tell me to get up and go sit in the shower, how it always makes you feel better."
Carriere added that she knows Mitte is telling her that she will be okay, "though I don’t know how I will."
I promise your love will always live through me until the day I see you again. I loved you completely. And you loved me the same. That’s all. The rest is confetti," she wrote.
Lacianne Carriere urged those struggling to 'reach out to someone'
Carriere first opened up about her brother's death at his celebration of life on Oct. 16 at the Mitte Cultural District in Brownsville, Texas.

"My mom was a single mother, and when I was two weeks old, she was in an accident that paralyzed her from the waist down for the first few years of my life. My brother immediately took on the father role," she tearfully told the crowd.
She also highlighted Mitte's love for Brownsville, which was "his home, his community."
RJ Mitte's mom, Dyna Mitte, discovered him after he died
"I want to say if anyone is struggling, please don't feel like you're alone. You're never alone," she continued. "Just try to accept the help. Try your hardest and just reach out to someone."
His mother, Dyna Mitte, found him dead at his Brownsville home on Oct. 12, and the Cameron County Justice of the Peace Judge Cyndi Hinojosa previously told USA TODAY the cause was determined to be suicide.
She ended her speech on a lighter note, vowing never to sell his "nasty truck" because "it's mine now."
