Costco members in more parts of the country can now have their warehouse club purchases delivered to their doors through Uber Eats.
Uber and Costco announced Wednesday, Sept. 16 in a news release that they have expanded their U.S. delivery partnership to 47 states, up from 17 states previously. The expansion brings Costco delivery through Uber Eats to all 47 states where Costco operates warehouses, with nearly 600 locations now available through the app.
Members can use the Uber Eats app to shop for Costco products, including fresh produce, bulk groceries, household essentials and other items sold at their local warehouse. Customers can choose on-demand or scheduled delivery, giving them another option when they don't want to make a trip to Costco.
USA TODAY reached out to Costco for additional comment.
The expanded partnership also includes several new deals for Costco members, including discounts on Uber One memberships and a limited-time offer for people who purchase a Costco membership through Uber Eats.
How Costco delivery through Uber Eats works

Costco members can search for Costco in the Uber Eats app and select their nearest warehouse. After adding items to their cart, they will need to verify their Costco membership before completing the order.
Customers can then choose whether they want their order delivered on demand or at a scheduled time. Uber said customers can track their orders in real time as they are shopped and delivered.
What deals are available?
Eligible Costco members can get 50% off an annual Uber One membership for the first year and 20% off in subsequent years, according to Uber.
For a limited time, $100 Uber or Uber Eats gift cards will also be available for $79.99 at participating Costco locations and on Costco.com.
People who purchase a Costco membership directly through Uber Eats can receive 30% off their first eligible Costco order during the promotional period.
Uber One members can also receive no Uber fees on eligible grocery and retail orders over $60, subject to the program's terms.
Where is Costco available on Uber Eats?
The service is now available in all 47 states where Costco operates warehouses, including states such as California, Illinois, New York and Pennsylvania. Costco does not currently operate warehouses in Rhode Island, West Virginia or Wyoming.
The expansion does not mean every Costco warehouse is available through Uber Eats. Uber said nearly 600 Costco locations are participating, compared with 641 Costco warehouses in the United States and Puerto Rico.
Costco is also available on Uber Eats in Canada, Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, France and Spain.
What the partnership means for Uber Eats
The expansion gives Uber Eats a larger presence in grocery and retail delivery as the platform competes with services such as Instacart, DoorDash and Amazon Fresh.
Walmart has also expanded its delivery business. The retailer recently launched Walmart Restaurant Delivery, allowing customers to order from restaurants including Subway and Dunkin' through Walmart's delivery service.
Andrew Macdonald, Uber's president and chief operating officer, said in a statement the expanded Costco partnership gives members more ways to shop while expanding Uber's ability to serve everyday retail needs.
