The U.S. women's national team will face Spain on Tuesday, Oct. 13 in the second of two friendlies between the world's top two teams.
Spain defeated the USWNT 2-0 on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Audi Field. The World Cup champions got goals from Patri Guijarro and Eva Navarro within the game's first 15 minutes, then held off an onslaught of U.S. attacks in the second half to keep a clean sheet.
USWNT coach Emma Hayes went with an experienced starting group against Spain, with an average of 59.3 caps per player. Additionally, both Mallory Swanson and Ashley Sanchez came off the bench after nearly two years away from the team.
That meant there was no debut for any of the five uncapped players on the USWNT roster: Jordan Silkowitz, Trinity Byars, Kate Del
Fava, Pietra Tordin and Evelyn Shores. Could that change on Tuesday?
Hayes said after naming her roster that there might not be many changes between the two matches, but she could make a few adjustments.
Claire Hutton could come into the midfield to provide more mobility, while Hayes could give the "Triple Espresso" front line of Trinity Rodman, Sophia Wilson and Mallory Swanson their first start together since the 2024 Olympics.
Here's who the USWNT could start in Tuesday's rematch against Spain:
USWNT projected lineup vs. Spain
