Jennifer Lawrence is looking back on a moment she "came down hard" against unacceptable behavior on set.
In an Oct. 28 appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, the Oscar-winning "Hunger Games" star, 36, revealed an incident where she was filming a nude scene and there were people on set who weren't supposed to be there.
"There was an instance on set where crew members who weren't approved when I was doing nudity were on set, and I came down hard on it purely because if we're not setting that kind of principle at the level at which we're doing it right now, then what on Earth is going to happen to an 18-year-old unknown?" Lawrence said.
She continued, "If she shows up, and there's people that aren't approved, she's going to be in a position like,
'Do I say something and get a reputation for being difficult, or do I just let these people that I'm not comfortable with see me naked?' So it was important to me to explain that to the people, why that was not OK."
Lawrence did not name the project in question, but she brought up the story as an example of how she has become more comfortable advocating for herself.
"I speak up more because I'm also aware of the place that I have in the industry," she said.
Though Lawrence spoke up when unauthorized crew members were present for a nude scene, she has said in the past that she doesn't "care about nudity" and is not "sensitive about it" when it is necessary for a film. In 2018, she told Vanity Fair that she was "scared" about doing her first nude scene for her thriller "Red Sparrow," but director Francis Lawrence, with whom she also worked on the "Hunger Games" series, put her at ease.

"He looked me right in the eyes like I had clothes on and then all of a sudden I was like, 'Oh, OK, it's just like I have clothes on,'" she told Vanity Fair at the time. "Everybody here is professional. You're still at work. One look just made me comfortable. It didn't make me feel naked."

Lawrence sat down on "Call Her Daddy" after announcing her new hair care brand, Mes°, on Oct. 27. Ahead of the reveal, the star launched an official Instagram account in September.
But Lawrence also has some unofficial social media accounts: On "Call Her Daddy," she shared that she has a secret TikTok, which she uses to get into arguments with strangers. It might not be secret for much longer, though.
"I think I'm just going to take that live," she said. "It's about time to take the mask off."
