Disney Channel star Carla Jeffery has died at the age of 33.
The actress, known for her time on the hit "ZOMBIES" franchise, died on Sept. 1, her agency Alexanders Talent Management announced in an Instagram post Wednesday, Sept. 2. Jeffery's cause of death has not been revealed.
"It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old," the tribute read. "Carla joined the Alexanders Talent Management family at the age of 12. For more than 20 years, we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room."
"As Bree in Disney’s hit ZOMBIES franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor,
and bright spirit with audiences around the world," it continued. "Carla was more than a client; she was family. Our hearts are with Carla’s family and loved ones during this devastating time. We respectfully ask that their privacy be honored as they grieve this unimaginable loss."
"Rest beautifully, Carla. Your light will never be forgotten," the post concluded, signed Alexander Talent Management and its founder, Carla Alexander.

Several of Jeffery's fellow Disney stars reacted to the news in the comments, with "Descendants" alum Jadah Marie writing, “I’m in shock. What a beautiful soul. I’m so heartbroken. Rest in peace beautiful💔💔💔💔💔"
Chandler Kinney, who appeared alongside Jeffery in "ZOMBIES," said, "the brightest shining light in any room she walked into. the kindest person you’d ever meet. the most beautiful soul. this doesn’t feel real….. 💔"
"Carla. The sweetest person I have ever met. I love you," wrote Milo Manheim, also Jeffery's "ZOMBIES" costar.
Jeffery was born in Houston, Texas July 10, 1993 and landed her first acting gig at age 12 in the 2006 comedy "Phat Girlz." She went on to appear in many popular television shows, including "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Shake It Up," "Good Luck Charlie," "iCarly," "Best Friends Whenever" and "American Vandal," among others.
In February 2018, Jeffery starred in her breakout role as Bree in the first "ZOMBIES" movie. She later returned for "ZOMBIES 2" in 2020 and "ZOMBIES 3" in 2022. She also voiced the character for Disney's "ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series."
