Jennifer Lawrence is getting candid about the subtle cosmetic treatments she uses – and the plastic surgery procedure she wants but is ruling out for now.
The Oscar winner discussed beauty, aging and her skincare routine in a Vogue interview published Sept. 3, revealing that she gets small amounts of Botoxwhile prioritizing her ability to remain expressive.
"I get baby Botox, but I can't do a lot" Lawrence said, explaining that she cannot use too much because she needs facial movement as an actor.
The 36-year-old said she "believe in facials" and would rather focus on keeping her complexion hydrated and glowing than pursue more intensive treatments. "I do like the radiofrequency because I have huge cheeks and so I feel like exercising them as
much as possible," Lawrence told the outlet.

When it comes to more invasive cosmetic work, however, the "Hunger Games" star remains cautious. Lawrence said she is nervous about fat transfers, a procedure that involves moving fat from one part of the body to another.
There is another procedure she would be more eager to try: buccal fat removal, a surgery that removes fat from the cheeks to create a more sculpted appearance.
"I would love to have a buccal fat removal," Lawrence told Vogue. "I can’t because everybody would know. But just know that I want that."
Beyond cosmetic treatments, Lawrence said she has started using tretinoin, a prescription retinoid commonly known as Tret. She also described taking extra precautions to protect areas of melasma from the sun, including wearing a scarf over parts of her face. She takes her skin care so seriously, that she even applies diaper cream on her face at night, a step in her regiment that she "stands by."
The actor's beauty routine is not entirely glamorous. Lawrence admitted she dislikes getting her hair colored and finds trips to the nail salon tedious, which she said is "like going to the hand dentist."
"I mean, I’m about to be 36, so I feel like my bones are cracking beneath me," she told the outlet. "My natural way is also like, I'm never hungry in the morning. It's just coffee. And then in the afternoon I eat candy or something horrible. But I read something on Instagram – so it has to be true – that that is bad for women because if you don’t eat before you work out, it spikes cortisol or something. And so I just took that at face value.”"

The "Die My Love" star has also been open about procedures she might consider in the future. In a 2025 interview with The New Yorker, Lawrence discussed potentially undergoing breast enhancement after welcoming her second child with husband Cooke Maroney. She also denied having a facelift but said, "Believe me, I'm gonna" in the future.
