NFL Week 6 begins with a matchup between the defending Super Bowl champions and the team they nearly faced for the title.
The Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos will give "Thursday Night Football" a bigger feel on Oct. 15 as two teams with championship aspirations come in with matching 3-2 records while sifting through more issues early in the 2026 season than they perhaps anticipated.
The Seahawks have lost two of their past three games after a thrilling setback against the San Francisco 49ers. They need to get back on track to keep pace in what is shaping up to be the league's most competitive division race in the NFC West.
The Broncos had to come from behind in the fourth quarter to beat the winless Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5, and their
offense has yet to resemble the attack that flourished en route to the AFC Championship game last year. Coach Sean Payton has taken back play-calling duties in recent weeks, but Denver ranks 30th in total offense and quarterback Bo Nix is completing fewer than 60% of his passes.

- Broncos 22, Seahawks 17: "The Broncos shouldn't win this game. It's the exact reason why they will. Underdogs have been printing money in primetime this season and given Denver's home-field advantage, we have every reason to believe that can continue. The Broncos offense remained unwatchable in Week 5 against the Chargers, but don't forget that the Seahawks suffered a crushing defeat to the rival 49ers. Now the NFC West is slowly slipping away from the defending Super Bowl champions. Playing in Denver on a short week after a physical game is a recipe for disaster. Hold your nose and bet on Bo Nix." – Nicholas Brinkerhoff
