A grand jury in Pennsylvania has indicted a woman in an alleged murder-for-hire plot to kill her ex-boyfriend, a Philadelphia Police Department officer, and his teenage daughter.
Jaclyn D. Diiorio, 28, of Runnemede, New Jersey, was charged Sept. 9 with two counts of using interstate commerce facilities in the commission of a murder-for-hire, U.S. Attorney David Metcalf for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania announced in a news release.
Diiorio tried to pay a confidential informant to kill her ex-boyfriend, a Philadelphia police officer, and his then 19-year-old daughter, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office in New Jersey first reported in April 2025. Prosecutors there charged her with two counts of first-degree attempted murder and one count of first-degree conspiracy
to commit murder in connection with the crime.
Diiorio was being held in federal custody pending a detention hearing set Sept. 14, Metcalf's office said.

The police officer told authorities he met Diiorio when she was his hairdresser, NBC10 Philadelphia reported. After they broke up, Diiorio met the criminal informant on the Tinder dating app.
From late March to early April, while in Pennsylvania and in New Jersey, Diiorio exchanged calls and texts with the information in which she allegedly said she wanted her ex dead, according to the Justice Department.
On April 4, 2025, Camden County prosecutors said, Diiorio met with the informant in Gloucester Township, New Jersey, handed over $500, and promised to pay nearly $12,000 in installments to him to complete the job.
After the cash was exchanged, prosecutors said, police arrested Diiorio and she was booked into the Camden County jail.
A motive in the alleged plot was not immediately known.
When reached by USA TODAY, Philadelphia police said they could not comment, citing the open court case.

Diiorio faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted of both charges, prosecutors said.
In addition to Gloucester Township Police, the case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the U.S. Marshals Service Camden Division.
