Mitsubishi is recalling more than 67,000 vehicles, citing an issue with the rearview camera image.
According to a recall notice posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the problem in certain vehicles could affect the driver's view and raise the risk of a crash or injury.
"Due to improper software programming, the Alliance In-Vehicle Infotainment (A-IVI) system may fail to display the rearview camera image when the vehicle is placed in reverse," the recall notice says.

Which models are potentially affected?
The NHTSA says that 67,146 vehicles are potentially affected. The models included are:
- 2025-2026 Mitsubishi Outlander
- 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
The recall number is SR-26-002.
What should owners do next?
Car owners
can take their vehicles to the dealership to get the A-IVI software updated for free.
