The United States is headed to Jamaica in November, but not to face the Reggae Boyz.
The U.S. is playing Haiti in the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals. The 2026 World Cup qualifiers haven't been able to host on home soil since 2021 because of a political crisis and gang violence making it unsafe, so they have used a number of neutral venues around the Caribbean.
That includes Sabina Park, the only test cricket ground in Jamaica, where Les Grenadiers will host the U.S. on Nov. 14, Concacaf announced Friday, Oct. 9.
The teams also meet in Cincinnati on Nov. 17. The team with a higher aggregate score over the two matches will secure qualification to the 2027 Gold Cup, Concacaf's continental championship, and a place in the Concacaf Nations League
semifinals in March 2027.
The neutral site in Jamaica sets up an interesting double-header as Jamaica's team hosts Mexico later that night in the first leg of their quarterfinal. El Tri hosts the Reggae Boyz in Monterrey on Nov. 17.
The other series are set for different days. Curacao hosts Panama in Willemstad on Thursday, Nov. 12 before the second leg at the Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Panama City on Nov. 15. Canada travels to Guatemala City for a match set for Nov. 13 at the Estadio Manuel Felipe Carrera, known as "El Trebol". The return leg is Nov. 16 at BMO Field in Toronto.
Concacaf is yet to announce whether or not Guatemala will be sanctionedafter Suriname took complaints that it received racist abuse in a Nations League group match at El Trebol to the governing body.
The confederation also unveiled locations for the remaining League B contests and the League A vs. League C play-in games.
Cuba is scheduled to host matches in the capital of Havana for the first time since 2019, though none of the matches set for Estadio La Polar will take place at night. A lack of illumination was part of the reason the national team started playing matches at the Estadio Antonio Maceo in Santiago. The stadium was renovated in 2025 using FIFA funding that improved locker rooms, covered seating, lighting and a solar panel system, among other upgrades.
While Montserrat, winners of League C Group A, has a stadium on the island, it has been unable to play at home because of inconsistency in ferry transportation between Antigua and Barbuda and Montserrat. The Emerald Boys will host Nicaragua at Estadio Cibao in the Dominican Republic before the return leg in Managua.
