Alexander Skarsgård is letting his footwear do the talking.
The "Wicker" star attended the Oct. 8 London screening of his upcoming film in a shiny head-to-toe ensemble.
Skarsgård, who is never afraid to take fashion risks, looked like the epitome of the Hollywood golden boy in a gold metallic Saint Laurent suit, styling the jacket without a shirt, and topping it off with the brand's lucite elongated-toe derby shoes, which showed off the star's full feet. The actor stood out from his "Wicker" co-stars Peter Dinklage, Elizabeth Debicki and Olivia Colman, who chose simple all-black looks.

In June, the controversial clear shoes had the internet up in arms when they first
debuted on the runway of the Saint Laurent's spring/summer 2027 menswear show. At the time, many took to social media to express their concerns with the amount of sweat the shoes might hold.
"They must look fancy with all the sweat and condensation," one Instagram user commented on Saint Laurent's postpromoting the shoes. "I'm calling the police," another user said.
As soon as Skarsgård's hit carpet, his shoes provoked similar comments online.
"Men's feet should be illegal," one Instagram user commented on a GQ post of the actor's bold look.

Another said, "No socks is crazy," while one more said, "Just looking at those shoes is making my feet sweaty."
But it wasn't all distain for the shoes. One commenter wrote, "Rock out Alex," while another said, "Because it's him, I'll allow it."
The actor even got compliments on the gold ensemble with one Instagram user saying, "I love his suit."
But Skarsgård isn't the only fan of the exposed foot trend. In August, actor Margaret Qualley freed her toes at the London premiere of “The Dog Stars," sporting a head-to-literal-toe Chanel look from the brand’s 2027 cruise collection.
Qualley wore a fully fringed, plunge-neck little black dress, but what really turned heads was the brand’s viral foot-baring ankle strap sandals. The controversial resort-wear design, showcasing a fully exposed foot featured a leather-capped heel emblazoned with Chanel's iconic logo and thin, lace-up ties that wrap around the ankle.
Similar to Skarsgård, when it came to stepping out fully barefoot in the name of fashion, Qualley got mixed reactions.
"Ten toes down for this look," one Instagram user wrote on a photo of the star's free-the-foot ensemble.
Meanwhile, another commentor quipped, "I hate it, but I respect."
