The Philadelphia Eagles got Saquon Barkley back from a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury in Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys.
While Barkley was able to return to the field, it was clear he was being hampered by an injury throughout the contest.
Barkley's struggles began on his first carry. The 29-year-old broke off a 29-yard run but appeared to pull up at the end of it before going out of bounds.
Barkley left the field for a couple of plays but later returned to the field. He played sporadically in the first half, alternating playing time with Dameon Pierce while attempting to stay loose on the sideline and also spending time in the blue medical tent.
Barkley went to the locker room early, presumably for further medical evaluation, but
returned to the field for the second half. He ripped off a 12-yard run on the first play of the half before walking gingerly to the sideline.
Barkley remained on the sideline for the remainder of the Eagles' drive, which chewed up the first 9:16 of the third quarter. He was spotted grimacing while standing on the sideline and did not have his helmet on while watching the Eagles' drive take place.
Here's what to know about Barkley's status as the Eagles look to earn a needed win over the Cowboys.
Saquon Barkley injury update
The Eagles have not yet provided an injury update about Barkley, even after his apparent tweak and trip to the medical tent earlier in the game.
Barkley has racked up 71 total yards and a touchdown on 11 touches thus far against the Cowboys.
