Los Angeles Rams edge rusher Myles Garrett has been ruled out for the road game against the Denver Broncos. It will be his second consecutive game missed.
Garrett was placed on injured reserve after knee surgery for an injury sustained during training camp. He had dealt with persistent swelling throughout training camp. Garrett played in the Rams' Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers
in Australia, but was placed on the injured list on Sept. 13.Garrett was expected to miss at least four games. If he stays on that timeline, he could return for the Rams' home game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, Oct. 18.
The two-time Defensive Player of the Year sat out of several practices leading up to the season opener, but did play against the 49ers
in Australia. He had little impact in the 27-7 loss.
Garrett has played at least 16 games in each of the last five seasons, including 17 games played in three of those years.
The seven-time Pro Bowler was acquired by the Rams after a trade with the Cleveland Browns.
The Rams sent edge rusher Jared Verse and multiple picks to Cleveland, including a 2027 first-rounder, a 2028 second-rounder and a 2029 third-rounder.
