Supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber's son Presley Gerber has died at 27.
The model died on Sunday, Sept. 20, at a rehab facility, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records. TMZ was the first outlet to report the news.
Crawford's publicist confirmed his death to USA TODAY, providing the following statement: "The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time."
An autopsy is pending completion, according to TMZ, and the cause and manner of death have not yet been announced.
Gerber grew up in a high-profile entertainment and fashion family before building his own career as a model, making his runway debut for Moschino in Los Angeles at 17. Over the course of his career, he walked for major
houses like Dolce & Gabbana and also appeared in international campaigns for Calvin Klein and Celine.
As his public profile grew, he also became increasingly transparent about the personal challenges he was navigating. In a since-deleted December 2025 video, Presley Gerber revealed he had to take various depressant medications – Buprenorphine, Xanax and Valium – to manage his mental health symptoms and treat panic attacks.

Presley Gerber's parents
Born in Beverly Hills, California, in 1999, Presley Gerber was the eldest and only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber.
Crawford, 60, who dominated runways, ad campaigns and fashion magazines back in the 1980s and 1990s, and Gerber have been married since 1998 and share two children: Presley and Kaia Gerber. Both children followed their mother's modeling footsteps.
In a 2017 interview with Vanity Fair, Crawford shared her advice to both her kids "is more about reminders — like be on time, be prepared, be professional, don’t be on your phone, talk to people, and have fun."
"They both have good heads on their shoulders, and I’m not worried,” Crawford had said.
Gerber, 64, a former model, is now a businessman and founder of Casamigos Tequila and Crazy Mountain, a "premium non-alc lager-style brew." Gerber founded both the companies with longtime family friend George Clooney.
Presley Gerber's sister
Presley Gerber was the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber, 25. The two siblings signed with IMG Models as teenagers and entered the fashion world together.
The "Shards" actress opened up about her brother's "decade-long struggle with drug addiction" in a Vogue cover story published in August.
"When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone," she told the publication. "I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing."
She added that her parents largely kept their family life private, while her brother had chosen to be more candid about his experiences: "There’s only so much you can hide from the world. And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them."
