The Milwaukee Brewers won a tense opener of the 2026 World Series over the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday and are right back in action less than 24 hours later for Game 2 in Milwaukee.
Playing their first World Series game in 44 years, the Brewers survived a hectic ninth inning for a 3-2 victory at American Family Field as catcher Willson Contreras put in a star performance
with two hits and two runners caught stealing."I think where people get in trouble is they try to overcomplicate what the moment is," Rays Game 2 starter Drew Rasmussen told reporters. "The plate is still 60 feet, 6 inches away."
Neither franchise has ever won a World Series title. Game 3 will be played on Monday, Oct. 26 at Tropicana Field.
