Global design firm Populous has released the latest renderings for Philadelphia's highly anticipated new arena, to be the future home of the 76ers, Flyers and the city's inaugural WNBA team.
While ground has not been broken yet for the project, work is anticipated to begin in early 2027, pending necessary permits and approvals.
The arena is expected to be the city's largest fully privately funded project thus far, according to a release from the Flyers. The project is also anticipated to generate a near $6 billion in economic activity through the next decade, as well as almost 15,000 jobs.
The release also states that hundreds of millions in new tax revenue will benefit the city and its public school district.
